There is a lot of options in the area. But you need to make sure that you get qualified and the house gets qualified for those programs.
Please check these links for more info on eligibility requirements:

Check the USDA Website! It is a great loan program if the property your looking at is eligible.

Yes there is, I suggest you call your loan officer and they should be able to tell you the areas that are cover under USDA.

Have you tried their website? Use an address near where you want to be if you don't have an exact address in mind.

The USDA loan program is not property specific per se. It is available to be used on homes that lie within the geographical boundaries, as well as areas with populations less than 20,000; therefore the City of Houston would not qualify. This loan type has a maximum income limit based on the number of people that will occupy the home. It also has ratio requirements as many loans do. Your best bet is to contact a lender and find out if you meet the income limits and if the area you are interested in meets the geographical requirements. You can call or email me and I would be happy to provide you with a list of lenders to choose from. I also work the Northeast part of town including areas like Porter and Splendor, which would quality.

Hi Ivy! There are over 1,100 properties in Houston and surrounding areas that have listed USDA as a possible loan option for acquiring the property. There are also certain eligibility requirements you have to meet as the buyer. I would be happy to speak with you about what you're looking for so that we can narrow the list down and make sure you meet the requirements. What time is best for you?
