The Market In a Minute

March 9th, 2018

Life is good in Texas and so is the real estate market. While Houston continue to recover from the devastation of Hurricane Harvey the housing market saw sale increased 4% despite the statewide median price jump of 6.7%. What can this be attributed to? well, "the sizable influx of residents and job growth across the state in 2017", so said Kaki Lybbert, chairman of the Texas Association of REALTORS

While it is true that job and economic growth over the last two years have been a bit slow, the population growth has be consistent for the past four years with more than 500,000 people moving into the Lone Star State each year, with the highest number of new residents relocated from California, followed by Florida. I say welcome!
