Driving down 19th Street in the Heights and been wondering what’s going in the former Southern Goods building? Wonder no longer…the new and delicious eatery is called Squable!!
Open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday from 5PM-11PM, Squable is the latest hip restaurant in the Heights! This restaurant is Justin Yu and Bobby Heugel’s collaboration and has been doing well so far! I’d recommend going early or making a reservation, especially if you plan to dine over the weekend. They have indoor, as well as outdoor seating. There’s also the option to cozy up to the bar!
Squable has an extensive beer, wine and cocktail menu, in addition to delicious bites! The various bread and small plates are great for sharing or order a big plate just for you! Personally, I devoured the raw and broiled oysters, focaccia and sourdough bread, stracciatella cheese and poached snapper – don’t worry, I did share!!
The dessert bread is to die for, kind of a mix of French toast and beignet. Order one for yourself, if you have a sweet tooth! Something kind of fun I discovered is they have a little silverware drawer built into the table – how clever!
I very much enjoyed eating at Squable and highly recommend!
