Porch Sitting

May 5th, 2020

Many homes built by today's builders lack the traditional home features of the past day.  One major exclusion from "modernized homes" is the front porches.  The front porch was a popular location which families used to gather and porch sitting was considered one of their most popular leisure activities.  Unfortunately, most people of today don't spend much time in their front yard of their home now. I wonder how much the decline of front porch sitting and lack of porches has contributed to that.  Believe it or not, homes with front porches are a good thing for your neighborhood!  It could serve as a deterrent to crime in communities if more people would spend some time sitting on the front porch.  It's a way to stay connected with your neighbors and, due to that relationship, look out for one another in their absence.  It could strengthen connections and awareness for all residents.  If you had an opportunity to buy a home, would you choose a home with a front porch?

How about a home with a front porch and a front balcony (2nd level)?  If yes, we have just the home for you...2418 Tall Sequoia Drive located in the beautiful Winfield Lakes community offers just that.  This lovely 2 story, 4 bdrm/3.5 bth, Lennar Built Beauty offers 3 different spaces (front porch, front balcony and covered back patio) for you to enjoy the outdoors and allow you to bring back the lost art of porch sitting.
