Chris developed his impressive customer service during a previous 15-year career in the telecommunications industry. “I learned to be perceptive, not only to what my clients say but to what they don’t say, and to respond immediately. A thorough understanding of the home purchase or sale process, from the initial decision to buy or sell, through contract negotiation and financing, to closing and beyond, makes Chris a decided asset for his clients. “Closing is not the end of my client relationships,” says Chris. “I can help guide their move and even suggest ideas to personalize a buyer’s new home.”
A Houstonian who graduated from Kingwood High School, Chris attended Texas A & M University in Galveston. He holds a degree in interior design from the Institute of Interior Decorating and Style and is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers. Chris uses his knowledge of architecture and design to help buyers envision the possibilities of a prospective home purchase, and to guide sellers in staging their home for sale.
Chris is a competive, category 2 bicycle racer riding for Shama Cycles and supports the ASPCA, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, and has completed six MS 150 rides for MS. For his clients with pets, he donates $100 to the SPCA in the pet's honor at closing.
Chris has earned his CNE designation (Certified Negotiation Expert), ALHS (Accredited Luxury Home Specialist), and CHMS (Certified Home Marketing Specialist)

Hi Jennifer. The answer to that question can be quite variable and depends on the individual landlord. If the property is vacant at the time you are looking, they might be a little less likely to wait that long. However, if the property is currently occupied and maybe the current tenant is moving out at the end of the month, they would likely consider this. The third scenario is that the house is vacant, but perhaps sitting on the market for some time and the owner is eager to get a tenant. I would say 60-90 days. Give yourself a generous amount of time to find and negotiate a new home and then add at least 30 days to that for closing. The first thing you should do is shop for mortgages and figure out how much you can afford and then get a pre-approval. Keep in mind that inner loop inventory is really low right now and houses are selling quick when they come onto the market.
