I was born in Mexico City and raised on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico in a town called Tampico. I enjoyed the beach, water sports and sea food. I studied architecture and that's when my passion for assisting people to find their perfect home started. I moved to Corpus Christi in 1995. It was love at first sight and I decided that this would be home. Through the years I have seen the tremendous change and growth in this area. DEE DEE Cortez was born in San Antonio, Texas moved with her family many times during her childhood–from Untied States to Mexico and Panama to North Carolina, South Carolina, California, and various other locations. Though she didn't know it at the time, she was continuing to develop the people skills that would be invaluable throughout her life. You see DEE DEE takes pride in who she is, what she has accomplished, relationships she has built over the years. Her passion for helping buyers find the perfect home, people she can connect with. She identifies with the people and families who live in Corpus Christi. This area attracts a lot of families; the people who live here are passionate about their neighborhood and schools. We also have a naval air station nearby, so there is some regular turnover with families of the support staff and officers moving in and out. She loves to help people relocate to the area and sell when it's time for something new. Prior to making Corpus Christi my home I was a U S Navy wife which took us from Texas to Alaska where we spent the next 17 years raising our 2 children before moving back to Texas and making the Sparkling City By The Sea our new home. I have been a small business owner for many years, but believe I have found my niche in the real estate industry. I enjoy helping families make informed decisions with regard to their homes, whether they are buying or selling.
