The mother of two daughters, who attended St. John's School, Karen served in various capacities at the school. As the founding chairman of the Houston Ballet Docent program, she also served in other roles in the Houston Ballet Guild. Chairman of the Covenant House Auction, March of Dimes Chairman for River Oaks, as well as an active member of her church are a few of her civic activities.

Homes are not only Karen's profession, but her hobby as well, as she is an avid antique collector. Karen's daughters both reside in New York City, where Sarah, a graduate of Columbia University, is currently pursuing a doctorate from Rockefeller University, and Laura is a junior at New York University.

Immersed into the world at a young age, Kendal has always admired learning about the real estate industry as she watched her mother utilize her impressive work ethic over the years. Kendal recently joined a team alongside her mother and sister and loves the family aspect they bring to the world of real estate, as each member brings their own unique characteristics and expertise to the table. Kendal also keeps busy with her many philanthropic efforts. Volunteering at multiple programs such as the University of Houston Bauer School of Business Endowment Program, Covenant House, Hope for Haiti's Children, and Citizens for Animal Protection, Kendal understands the value of giving back. She is also Chairperson of the Cameron Kiecke Memorial Foundation.
