After moving to Houston she worked for prominent real estate and tax attorneys and later joined Bolin Development Corp. where she worked in the commercial real estate sector. Her perseverance is shown through her tireless work with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, where she has dedicated more than 20 years in the search for a cure for this disease. Carol was recently selected as an honoree for the JDRF Promise Ball where she was presented with the Living and Giving Award for her advocacy, leadership and commitment. JDRF selected Carol as Chair of the JDRF Children's Congress, a national event in Washington, DC created to lobby the government for additional funding. As the Chair, she worked personally with 200 families representing all 50 states in order to introduce them to their Congressmen and United States Senators. She not only provides service to the Houston community, but also individuals throughout the United States.

When he manages to pull himself away from work, he enjoys spending time outdoors and enjoying the city he has called home for over 50 years with his wife, Holly, an elementary school teacher; their 5 children; and golden retriever Remi.

I have served in the U. S. Army as an Infantryman for 8 years. I was stationed in Germany and completed multiple combat deployments to Iraq and Kosovo. I enjoy assisting fellow veterans with their residential needs and maintains a presence through Facebook Veterans groups.
