Prior to my career in real estate, I worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center for over five years, and later taught middle school reading, writing, and served as a leader in Special Education for years. I credit my time in those careers to learning how to build meaningful relationships, and to honing my skills in communication. My passion for helping others continues to extend into my real estate career! I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Entertainment Business, an English Language Arts/Reading Education Certification for Grades 4-8, and a K-12 Special Education Certification. As CEO/Broker and Past President of the American Society of Interior Design, Laurie brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Coton House Realty firm she has formed. After graduating from the University of Texas/Austin with a degree in business and a degree in interior design from the Houston Art Institute, Laurie embarked on her design career by purchasing and renovating homes for resale throughout the Houston area.

She soon discovered that proficiency as a licensed realtor complemented her design skills. As a 3rd generation Houstonian who has lived and worked in the inner loop for 35 years, she knows the city and surrounding suburbs intimately well and decided to combine her design expertise with real estate. Laurie and her family are advocates of rescued animals. She also enjoys butterfly gardening, travel as time permits, reading, exploring the new coffee shops and restaurants for which Houston is well-known and, most of all, spending time with family and pets.

Although Tina volunteers with many charities, the one dearest to her heart is the American Diabetes Association. When she has leisure time, she may be found working out at Buffalo Bayou Park or checking out some of Houston's diverse culinary culture. Tina enjoys cooking with her friends, watching sports, and finding a good book, but her favorite pastime is keeping up with her adored, college-student son.
