New Caney is currently experiencing phenomenal growth. Both she and her husband, Mike, are graduates of Kingwood High School and have enjoyed watching the area grow and change over the years.
Gayla has committed many volunteer hours to her children's schools. She has worn many hats including PTA president, art masterpiece chairman, ways and means chairman, and spring carnival chairman. In 2008, Gayla was recognized for her service to the PTA with a PTA Honorary Life Membership Award.
In her spare time, Gayla enjoys spending time with her family and playing golf.
